Girl Friday: One Day In My Garden

Veider. See oleks olnud justkui eile.

Big fur hats always remind me of my mother who used to wear different fur hats when she was young. I've inherited my passion for fur coats and fur from my mother. She used to throw garden parties, and I remember a particularly cold day on June. She welcomed the guests in fur. Bizarre. It's as if was yesterday. I remember my curly blonde haired mum, her red lips, a glass of champagne, welcoming guests in her fur coat. I'd be hiding in my secret spot behind a big pine tree.

This photo is the polar opposite. Empty field, no luscious flowers, guests, or champagne. Taking these shots, it was below zero outside. I took off the fur coat for a few moments and replaced it with a jacket. All that to show you what I rewarded myself with this week. It's from Cozy boutique in Tallinn (Narva mnt. 13), and it was my first choice when looking around in the shop. And these photos carry so much of my mother in them - the new fur hat, Chanel style jacket, as well as the dress. If you exempt the wellies, everything mentioned above would also be my mother's choice. Although I don't see her as often as I'd like, it's amazing how much of her I carry with me every day.
